A tale of emotion versus reason…

In Tales of Berseria, players embark on a journey of self-discovery as they assume the role of Velvet, a young woman whose once kind demeanor has been replaced and overcome with a festering anger and hatred after a traumatic experience three years prior to the events within Tales of Berseria. Velvet will join a crew of pirates as they sail across the sea and visit the many islands that make up the sacred kingdom of Midgand in an all-new adventure developed by the celebrated team behind the Tales of series. Veteran Tales of character designer Mutsumi Inomata has personally designed Velvet and famous Japanese animation studio, ufotable, returns to animate the game’s breathtaking cutscenes; delivering truly epic and emotional storytelling in their unique style.

One of the best JRPG I've played on my life!

The story is precious, excellent, and really really deep.

Almost every character has a good development, the music is fantastic.

Please, make you a favour and play this game. But play it paying attention.
  • Excellent story and music
  • Good playability / mechanics
  • A memorable set of characters and scenes
  • Easy to get bored if you don't pay attention
  • Battle kinda be frustrating if you don't follow the game mechanics
  • Has ultrawide resolution, but it doesn't work (but this is ok, is a game from 2007)
I simply love this game, the story and the characters! It is different and better than different games I tried (about same genre) and it doesn't get you bored at all, maybe annoyed against the villan, but that is ok.
The only problem for several people who wants to try it is the battle style, everytime you meet an enemy there is a battle, no kill stealt, but watching the ability and combos of the characters it is the best method.

Only downside is that they have taken voice acting out for majority of the game. The game is a lot different than the last ones. Taken a more dark approach but it works well. overall this is a great game in the series and well worth the purchase.
  • Good combat.
  • Dark story which is a new twist.
  • no voice acting in normal gameplay.
Awesome story, interesting characters, favourite tales game now!
The game play is addicting, the environments are stunning and it's one of the few games I've restarted almost straight after the credits!

  • Very grind-y
one of the best game i ever own As you can probably tell, Berseria has you playing as the bad guys to some extent and this is a refreshing change. Each new party member is unique and one of the best stories around this game will not let you down at all i say go for it and have fun
  • story
  • gamepolay
  • a lot of content
  • cool party member
  • some back tracking
  • slow start
